After the consulate appointment, we celebrated with a very nice dinner here at the hotel. This included escargot for Lisa :) and vanilla ice cream for Mei Lynne. Mei Lynne wasn’t sure about the cold at first, but quickly got used to ice cream—we had a small tantrum when it was all gone! Tonight we take a 2-hour train ride to Hong Kong, spend the night there and then to the Hong Kong International airport Friday morning. ALMOST HOME!!!
So one more thing for Mei Lynne and her brothers to bond over….ice cream! Have a safe trip home.
Mei Lynne has discovered that she really likes the McDonald’s “big breakfast,” especially the scrambled eggs!
Her big brothers will be so happy! :-)
Tomorrow morning first thing is our Consulate appointment and swearing in ceremony. This is one of our last beaurocratic steps!

“Squeaky Shoes!!” A squeak with every step…true toddler heaven. We think Daddy might like for us to lose these on the way home :) Mei Lynne clearly said “hi” to her brothers and Daddy by Skype for the very first time today. She’s a sponge for soaking up new things. She looks older to us every day and every day shows us some new thing she’s capable of—amazing!

True joy! Mei Lynne has an amazing gusto to her. We ended our day by exploring the Marriott playground. We heard Mei Lynne giggle hysterically. Our hearts have truly melted.

After or medical exam appointment, our guide took us shopping at the market…We stuck to diapers, formula, bottled water, and snacks!
